Idaho schools keep Eagles grounded
The Golden Eagles traveled to Idaho for a two-game road trip and were never able to take flight as they dropped both games to North Idaho College and College of Southern Idaho.
The Eagles went down in defeat 85-52 to NIC on Thursday night. The EU men were ice cold on offense as they were only able to score 23 in the first half. NIC outscored them by 13 and then piled it on with 50 points in the second half. The Eagles struggled to get over 50 for the game. It was the worst offensive output from the team this year.
Cameron Evans lead with 13 followed by Bryant Crowder with 12. They were the only Eagles to hit double figures. Jonathan Mills had 12 rebounds.
On Saturday the Eagles played a much better game but were unable to walk away with the win against CSI losing 89-80.
The EU men found the first half of play more to their liking. They kept things close and headed to the break ahead 38-35. CSI found a way to take the lead back in the second period and walked away with the win.
The EU Men are now sporting a three game losing streak.
Brady Hurst ended up with a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Evans was the EU top scorer with 15. James Kinney added 14 followed by Crowder with 13. Aaron Hawk-Harris ended with 11.
The Eagles are looking forward in returning to the friendly confines of the BDAC on Friday night as they host Colorado Northwestern Community College at 7:30 p.m.
