Carbon High Swimming
On Jan. 5, 2011 Carbon swimming team traveled to Delta to compete against Ben Lomond and Delta in a tri meet. With a combined score Carbon defeated both with a score of 169, Ben Lomond 156, and Delta 105.
Carbons top finishers are girls 200 medley relay first consisting of Aysha Black, Lizethe Pendleton, Tati Larsen, and Paula Gibson. Brittney Willson takes second in her 200 free, and 500 free. Aysha Black finishes first in her 200 I.M. and also in her 100 back. Paula Gibson takes second in the 50 free. Dakota Powell takes second in both the 50 free and 100 butterfly. Tati Larsen finishes second in her 100 butterfly. Megan Barnett takes second in the 100 free. Girls 200 free relay consisting of Barnett, Larsen, Sierra Williams, and Willson captures first. Heather Bone finishes second in her 100 back. Lizethe Pendleton finishes second in her 100 breaststroke. Thory Vandyke takes first with teammate Zach Prettyman in second for the 100 breaststroke. Girls 400 free relay consisting of Black, Barnett, Gibson, and Willson captures first. Boys 400 free relay consisting of Lance Riche, Austin Pullan, Brandon Gibson, and Dakota Powell finish first.
Carbon will be wrapping up their season with region on Jan. 22 and state on Feb. 4 and 5.
