PRICE - Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Nelda Berneice "Beci" Olsen Parry was called home on Thursday Jan. 13, 2011 at the age of 72 after a long and courageous battle with many struggles and illnesses.

Berneice was born in Price, Utah on Oct. 2, 1938 to Hyrum William and Ada Francis Noyes Olsen.

Married Arthur Parry on Dec. 11, 1955 in Price. Their marriage was later solemnized on Sept. 7, 1991 in the Manti LDS Temple. She spent 20 years following her husband to many different ports and different duty stations, supporting him with his duties in the U.S. Navy and starting a family of four sons. He passed away June 20, 1990.

Berneice loved her family. She loved being surrounded by her husband, children, brothers and sisters. Berneice loved doing things for others and everything she did was selflessly. She loved playing with her kids. She spent many hours crocheting Afghans and making ceramics for others. Berneice was a temple ordinance worker for many years in the Manti LDS temple.

Survived by her three sons, Dennis Parry; Richard (Wanda) Parry, both of Price; Mark Parry, Layton; three sisters, Iola Rutherford, Price; Eva (Nick) Chavez, Moab; Margie (Terry) Byrge, Carbonville; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Hyrum and Ada Olsen; husband, Arthur Parry; oldest son, Arthur "Bill" Parry; four brothers, Kay, Max Dean, Raymond and Howard Olsen.

Funeral service, Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, 11 a.m. Price 5th LDS ward 545 E. 400 N. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home and at the church Wednesday morning from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment, Wellington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Berneice online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
