More toys, more joys, for Angel Tree recipients

As Christmas draws closer, there are still families in our area looking for help for providing toys for their children. But local United Way Fundraising Coordinator Anne Boyle is feeling confident that all those who need help will be taken care of by the generosity of the local community. Most families have been adopted by organizations and individuals, but United Way is still receiving about four calls a day from new families looking for last minute help.

Tony Basso GM employees Larry Monson and Rhonda Boylen brought over a stack of toys on Tuesday to help with the last minute need. The toys were gathered through donations by the customers and employees of Tony Basso GM.

Other organizations are beginning to make sure their families are taken care of. The Carbon High FBLA brought in their gifts to the United Way office for the family they adopted to come by and pick up.

United Way wants families to know they have decorated Christmas trees to give away if there is someone who still needs a tree. They need to contact United Way before 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon if they want one.
