The Carbon Dinos lost last Wednesday to Manti in a game much closer than the final score reflected. Manti got the 60-49 win over the Dinos in the final two minutes of play.

The entire night the battle stayed fairly even. Carbon was up by a point at the end of the first period and stretched it to a mere two points at the half. It was the Templars up by a pair as the third drew to a close.

Carbon held the two point advantage with two minutes to play. Then a few turnovers and lack of defense let Manti run the show and a close game dissolved before the Dinos eyes.

Coach Ted Bianco had little to say except that Carbon had put themselves in a postion to win the game, but his team fell apart on defense at the end.

"We learned a few lessons from this," he added. "At least I hope we did."

The Saturday matchup with Ben Lomond was canceled. Carbon will take on North Sanpete this Wednesday night at home. They resume after Christmas with another home game against Juab on Dec. 29.
