Winner emerges as county commission race finally settled

After all absentee and provisional ballots were processed, a clear winner finally emerged for the county commission seat currently occupied by Bill Krompel.

The final count was in Jae Potter's favor, 2665 to 2631, over challenger David Palacios.

The outcome was significant as Potter will be Carbon County's first Republican county commissioner in decades.
