County voters favor all amendments
Carbon County voters gave majority support for all four proposed amendments to the Utah Constitution.
This was in line with statewide voting.
Amendment A, which extended secret ballot protection to labor elections, passed with 60.5 percent of the vote.
Amendment B, which specified that people appointed to office must reside in the district they represent, got 81.3 percent.
Amendment C got 53 percent of the vote. This gives a property tax exemption to non-profit companies that provide water for irrigation, domestic use, or to public water systems.
The final constitutional change, Amendment D, got 69.7 percent. This is to establish a five-member ethics board - not to include legislators or registered lobbyists - to review allegations of ethical misconduct.
