Safe disposal of expired medication

Elaine Bowman, a volunteer during the first Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Day, accepts a load of expired or unneeded medication. Last year, 50 pounds of medication were collected and disposed of safely. The second Clean Out Your Medicine Cabinet Day will be Oct. 12 from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the Carbon County Event Center. It will be held in conjunction with the annual health fair at the center.
