Where better to celebrate National Fossil Day than at one of the Nation's most superb fossil quarries?

In celebration of National Fossil Day on Oct. 13, the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry will be open to the public free of charge.

The first 200 visitors will receive a commemorative pin which celebrates fossils on America's Public Lands.

Celebrating this day is just one way the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry can give back to the public who have supported the quarry through the years and assisted in its success.

The Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry is one of the Nation's premier fossil quarries. It has been open to visitation by the public for over 40 years.

Dedicated in 1968, the museum and quarry was the Bureau of Land Management's first visitor center.

From now until October 31, the Quarry will be open on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.

For directions to the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry visit the website at; or stop by the Museum of the San Rafael at 96 North 100 East, Castle Dale; or the USU/CEU Prehistoric Museum at 155 East Main Street, Price.
