Last year, Helper Junior High School art students entered a statewide competition for K-8 art. Students all over the state submitted their work to the competition sponsored by The Utah Department of Museums.

Out of 19 winning entries, four came from Helper Junior High School: Jayde Andreasson, Madelaine Weaver, Cassandra Price (who created a landscape out of bits and pieces of torn magazines), and Nick Kiahtipes. "We are very proud of the artwork of these local students," said Art and English teacher Cathy Wilson.

The exhibition will be circulating around the state to schools and institutions for two years. Anyone who is interested may reserve the exhibition by emailing Jean Irwin, jirwin@utah.gov.
