Making a connection with the crowd

Singer Jennifer Lopez holds the microphone for young audience members who couldn't resist getting into the act at last Thursday's Culture Connection concert in the Price Peace Gardens. Miss Carbon County Lydia Jeppson also entertained the crowd. Culture Connection concludes its 2010 season this week with two concerts. On Thursday at 7 p.m., the Celtic group CrosStrung will perform. Saturday will be an all-day Concert in the Gardens, with the Farr West Garage Band performing from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Beyond Hope from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Double Down from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Farmer's Market will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. For kids there will be contests in sidewalk chalk coloring, ice cream eating and watermelon eating during the morning. Vendors will also be there with food and crafts.
