A thunderstorm last Saturday drowned the Price Canyon Recreation Area, spilling lots of water down every wrinkle and crease in the mountainside. While the storm caused no apparent damage to the recreation site, it did serve as an important reminder how quickly the weather can change and how dangerous thunderstorms can become. A mere half inch of rain fall can cause destructive floods for miles downstream.
