Don and Marian Roper were married on Sept. 2, 1960 in the Salt Lake Temple. Following their marriage, they made their first home in Pullman, Wash., where Don attended Washington State University. After receiving his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree, the couple returned to Utah and made their home in American Fork, where Don had a veterinary practice for 43 years.

They are the parents of five children (Laura and Mark Clement, of Lindon, Keith Roper, of Fayetteville, Ark., Alisa and Brian Gunn, of Mountain Green, Daniel and Sue Roper, of Lehi, and Randall and Jerilyn Roper, of Westfield, Ind.), and have 27 grandchildren. Following Don's retirement in 2007, he and Marian moved to Huntington, where they are presently residing.

An open house will be held on Saturday, Sept. 4 at Somewhere Inn Time, 175 N. State Street, Lindon, from 4-7 p.m., hosted by their children. Please, no gifts.
