PRICE - Our beloved son, brother and longtime friend, Larry Shane Parkin passed away Aug. 16, 2010 in Price at the age of 40.
He was born in Moab on Oct. 10, 1969 to the loving parents of Ronald Perry and Marlene Jennifer Pappas Parkin.
Shane was a longtime resident of Carbon County and a graduate of Carbon High School and the College of Eastern Utah. He shared a deep passion for mining and he enjoyed anything that had to do with the coal mining industry. After some health setbacks, Shane changed careers and began his studies in the medical field.
His family meant the world to him and he was always there for anyone in need. He enjoyed playing softball, riding four-wheelers, fishing, hunting, and caring for his dogs, Zeus and Taya. Shane will be dearly missed, but he'll remain in our hearts forever.
