USU trustees will conduct workshop on Price Campus
Trustees of Utah State University will hold their annual workshop on the campus of Utah State University-College of Eastern Utah Friday.
The annual workshop allows the trustees time to review the year's accomplishments and provides time to set new goals and priorities for the upcoming year.
The workshop will take place in the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center on Friday.
"We are looking forward to meeting on the USU-CEU campus in Price with our university Board of Trustees," said President Stan Albrecht. "The union of these two institutions means expanded opportunities for our students and the community. We are confident this will have a positive multiplying effect on the entire eastern region of the state. We appreciate the support and high priority that our governing board places on this new association. Holding the meeting in Price attests to their interest and commitment to the new USU-CEU."
Newly appointed Chancellor of USU-CEU, Joe Peterson said: "The USU Trustee's visit to Price and their meetings here will be historic events. With great eagerness we look forward to Friday's meeting. In choosing to commit their time and resources to travel here, they demonstrate their commitment to local issues and needs. By meeting with local institutional leaders and members of the local Advisory Board, they reach out to engage us in continued dialog and collaboration."
The visit to Price will also provide an opportunity for the Trustees to meet with the newly appointed Regional Advisory Council as created by Senate Bill 69. The Council will provide advice to the President and Chancellor regarding local issues.
USU Trustees include: Chair, Suzanne Pierce-Moore of Park City, Vice Chair, Ronald W. Jibson of North Salt Lake City, David P. Cook of Farmington, Robert L.
