CPT Joseph Chiara MD graduated with honors from a five-year residency in Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) from Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Wash. on June 4. Dr. Chiara scored above the 95th percentile on the national examination among all residents. He performed over 2000 operations and treated thousands of patients for otolaryngologist at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, Kan.
Dr. Chiara and his wife Jamie and their three children have relocated to Manhattan, Kan. He is the son of Keith and Carol Chiara of Helper.
