Notice Of Proposed Tax Increase - City Of Helper

The City Of Helper is proposing to increase its property tax revenue.
The City Of Helper tax on a $95,000 residence would increase from
$94.62 to $176.03, which is $81.41 per year. The City Of Helper tax on
a $95,000 business would increase from $172.04 to $320.05 which is
$148.01 per year. If the proposed budget is approved, City Of Helper
would increase its property tax budgeted revenue by 86.03% above last
year's property tax budgeted revenue excluding new growth. City Of
Helper property tax revenue from new growth and other resources will
increase from $118,255 to $220,000. All concerned citizens are invited
to a public hearing on the tax increase. PUBLIC HEARING. Date/Time:
8/19/2010 6:00 p.m. Location: Civic Auditorium. Council Chambers, 19
South Main, Helper, UT. To obtain more information regarding the tax
increase, citizens may contact City Of Helper at 435-472-5391.
