Carbon County Sheriff James Cordova presents Brittany Stefanoff with a check for $1,000 last Thursday which will go towards her education at Utah State University College of Eastern Utah this fall. The sheriff also presented checks for the same amount to David Kobe and Sarah Adams. The money, which comes from the Utah Sheriffs Association, is given to students who either come from a family involved in law enforcement or who are planning to major in a field that ties in with law enforcement. Kobe plans on attending either USU/CEU or Snow in the coming year, while Adams has not quite made up her mind where she is going to school, but will be a full time student when she attends.
