National Forest Timber For Sale Manti-Lasal National Forest

The Lake Fuels Sale is located within T. 14 S., R.6 E., SEC. 17, 18,
19, 20, 21, 28, 29 and 30, SLBM. The Forest Service will receive
sealed and oral bids in public at Sanpete Ranger District Office,
Manti-LasSal NF, Ephraim, UT at 10:00 AM local time on 09/01/2010 for
an estimated volume of 53 CCF of Subalpine Fir sawtimber, and 6909 CCF
of DEAD and Other sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for
cutting. In addition, there is within the sale area an estimated
volume of 18 CCF of Aspen sawtimber that the bidder agrees to remove
at a fixed rate. In addition, there is within the sale area an
unestimated volume of DEAD fuelwood that the bidder may agree to
remove at a fixed rate. The Forest Service reserved the right to
reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus
from the office listed below. A prospectus, bid form, and complete
information concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and
submission of bids is available to the public from the Sanpete Ranger
District Office, Manti-LaSal NF, 540 North Main Street, Ephraim, Utah.

	The timber for sale is Dead Spruce, the spruce is considered Dry
Dead. This is spruce that has been dead a number of years and as a
lower moisture content. Harvest methods include approximately 66
percent tractor and 33 percent helicopter yarding methods. A minor
amount of green sub-alpine fir and aspen is included. For further
