Audit shows PRWID finances in control
It took 60 pages of numbers and technical terms to reach the conclusion, but only a minute to explain it: in all material respects, the Price River Water Improvement District's books and financial status are okay.
That was the unqualified opinion of the Price accounting firm Smuin, Rich and Marsing, presented to the PRWID board by Doug Rasmussen, the district's auditors.
Rasmussen said the district has used sound management decisions, keeping costs under control while applying revenues to correct last year's general fund deficit.
