Marion Energy, an oil and gas production company, will have to re-apply with the County Planning Commission if it still wants to drill in the Scofield area. Commissioners decided on Tuesday that there will be no more deferrals on the matter after representatives of the company again asked to be taken off the agenda.
Chairman Richard Tatton noted that the commission has already scheduled several regular and special meetings to discuss the issue and the company has repeatedly asked for deferrals. By unanimous vote, the commissioners agreed to a motion to have the company reapply.
