Demolition Derby is smashing success

The annual Sheriff's Search and Rescue Demolition Derby once again drew thousands of spectators and scores of competitors to the Carbon County Fairgrounds Saturday. The event is the principal fund raiser for the volunteer group. Dennis Sandoval won top honors in the competition, taking first place in the Main Event. Second place went to Ricky Sandoval and Deni Heaps placed third. Dennis Sandoval also won the prize for Most Aggressive driver. Complete results and more photos are on page 10 A.
