Relay for Life, 2010

The community turned out with crowds and contributions for the annual Relay for Life fund drive Friday and Saturday. Chair this year was cancer survivor Barbara Piccolo (right). Cancer survivors and supporters of the fight against the disease walked around the College of Eastern Utah track all night. The theme this year was 'Happy Birthday,' noting that successful cancer treatment and prevention brings more birthdays for all. Entertainment was on stage throughout the event. Entertainment organizers were Mava Farrell and Debbie Jones. Rex Sacco provided open karaoke, and there was a Guitar Hero competition as well. The band Hydrus stayed the entire night. All performances were free. All proceeds go to benefit the American Cancer Society.
