Culture Connection to begin season with performance by country group Haywire

Price City's Culture Connection will kick off the summer season Thursday evening with a performance by Haywire, a local country and rock group. The free concert begins at 7 p.m. In the Peace Gardens on Main St. in front of the CEU Prehistoric Museum. The band features mainly country music but every so often will play rock and roll. All members have had experience playing with locally or nationally recognized musicians. Members include: Brandy Powell, lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Shaun Tomsich, lead vocals and rhythm guitar; Steve Gutierrez, bass guitar; Jefferson Wade, lead guitar; Jay Frandsen, steel guitar, lear guitar and banjo; and Larry McKinnon, drums and background vocals.
