Price Elks honor Flag Day with ceremony at lodge

Boy Scouts prepare damaged flags for ceremonial retirement as part of the annual Elks Lodge Flag Day observance Monday. The civic organization has a strong commitment to patriotism and community service. In a presentation of the history of all the flags that have flown over the colonies and then the United States, Cub Scouts assist in displaying the flags before the audience in the Elks auditorium. As a finale for the afternoon's ceremonies, the frayed and worn out cloth flags are burned.
