Anti-baseball? No way, says Ben Blackburn

Wellington Mayor Ben Blackburn said Wednesday that there is a rumor circulating about town that he wants to close the city's Little League baseball field. This is definitely not true, he told the city council.

In fact, he wants two fields, and has a dream of a baseball complex in the future. Two baseball fields would accommodate twice as many teams, and would enable players to finish games earlier.
