Ronald and Patricia Roper
June 4 will mark the 50th wedding anniversary of our amazing parents, Ronald & Patricia Roper. They met on a beautiful fall day in 1957. After serving a mission in the New England States, Ron returned and wed his sweetheart, Pat, in the Manti Temple 50 years ago.
Throughout the years they have loved camping, fishing, picnicing and visiting their family. Joe's Valley was the destination of many memorable family vacations.
They are the proud parents of 5 children (one of which is deceased) and 10 grandchildren.
As long-time residents of Price, Ron served as Administrator of the Carbon County Nursing Home, owned and operated Carbon-Emery Auto Parts, and also worked for the CEU. His favorite job, however, was serving as a member of the Price City Fire Department for 30 years. Pat's love has been in service to her family and community. Some of her greatest joys have been serving the sisters in Relief Society, as well as those in her community.
Their love for each other throughout the years has been a strength to their children and grandchildren alike.
In celebration, their children Debbie & Gaylen Christensen (Salt Lake City); David & Teresa Roper (Houston, Texas); Rona & Keith Welton (Monroe, Wash.) and Scott & Christine Roper (Farmington) and their families will honor Pat & Ron with a special family dinner and program.
MOM & DAD thanks for being so good to all of us. We love you!
