Jerri Timothy, a fitness instructor since 1982 and owner of Fitness World, in Price has always looked up to Jane Fonda as a fitness icon. Recently in a dream come true, Timothy attended the World Fitness Day in Atlanta Ga. at which she not only met Fonda but spent some time with the movie celebrity.

Timothy was the only one from Utah that attended this event, and her team, which was called "The A Team" was the team that won a free dinner with Jane Fonda.

Fonda, who is the brainchild of World Fitness Day, focuses much of her time on youth development and the empowerment of women and girls worldwide.

Fonda revolutionized the fitness industry with the release of Jane Fonda's Workout in 1982, which was the same year Timothy started to teach fitness. Fonda has produced 23 home exercise videos 13 audio recordings and five books.

Other fitness and health experts at the World Fitness Day event were Richard Simmons, Denise Austin, Billy Blanks, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

After the workout the Pointer Sisters pumped up the crowd with live renditions of some of their greatests hits and Ludacris played live as well.
