The Carbon Dinos track team is geared up for another banner year. The numbers for the team continue to grow each season and so does the talent.

Coach Jimmy Jewkes is happy with what he is seeing from his athletes,

"We had a great meet (on Wednesday, April, 7)," he said. "Even though it was a non-qualifier, it gave us a chance to compete against Union and Wasatch and Altamont. Altamont is not in our region."

Jewkes would love to list the results of all the Dino track team, but there are so many he has provided the some of the top performers. The 400 had Colton England in second and Kaleb Kulow taking fourth. Justin Hepworth took third in the with a personal best of 2:15. Justin Hepworthalso had ith a personal best of 5:01 and a first place finish in the1600-meter dash. Cody Hunt took a close second with a 5:02 time.

In the hurdles it was all Brock Morley as he took first in both the 110 and 300 event. His brother JJ Morley grabbed third in both events as well. JJ had a personal best of 41.9 in the 300. The 4 x 400 relay team of Brock Morley, JJ Morley, Kulow, and Tatton easily took first in that event.

Brock Morley also posted a first place finish in the javelin while Davin Garvin chucked the discus good enough for second place. Landon Martindale and Derek Quinton were in the top six in the long jump.

For the girls team it was Diana Olsen in fourth in the 800 and second in the mile. Kristen Jewkes posted a win in the high jump and second in the 800. Regan Powell was the winner in the 800 and then took second in the long jump and fourth in the 200.
