Free van transportation - The Disabled American Veterans provides free van transportation to the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City for veterans with medical appointments from Price and surrounding areas. Also, the program needs volunteer drivers to help us meet our transporting needs. Yearbooks Needed - The College of Eastern Utah is missing the following yearbooks from its collection: 1926, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1955. If you have a copy from these years we would love to add it to the collection.

Raising Kids with a Faith That Lasts - Focus on the Family presents a series on raising kids with faith that lasts. Parents will be equipped with tools to strengthen and inspire to raise children with a faith that lasts a lifetime. Series begins April 9 at 7:00 p.m. at New Life Ministries, 1950 West 4100 North, Spring Glen. The series will last 6 weeks.

Big Changes at DSPD - presented by Alan Ormsby, Director of the Division of Services for People with Disabilities. Meeting will be on April 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Castle Valley Center, 755 N. Cedar Hills Dr. in Price. Women's cancer screening - Women 50 years of age or older may qualify for free breast and cervical cancer exams and mammograms. Women ages 40 to 49 may qualify for a low-cost exam.For information, call the public health district at 637-3671.

Free legal clinics - Utah Legal Services has scheduled free clinics the second and fourth Monday of the month from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the 7th District Court complex, located at 149 East 100 South in Price. Residents should bring all pertinent documents pertaining to legal questions. For information and appointments, contact the agency toll-free at 1-800-662-1563.

Carbon County Animal Shelter - AVID chip pet identification is available at the shelter. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
