A good start for Relay of Life event

The kick-off to the annual Relay For Life event took place at the Price Elks Club on Tuesday, March 9. Speakers at the affair included chairwoman Barbara Piccilo, team development leader Ann Evans, Darla Lee of the Sun Advocate and Joyce Swaner of the American Cancer Society, Salt Lake City. The organization, founded in 1913, is a nationwide community-based volunteer health group which is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. Waging a war against tobacco is a large part of that fight, but the group also advocates a healthy lifestyle and yearly screenings, especially for breast, prostate and colon cancer prevention.
