The Utah Highway Patrol normally investigates accidents, but seldom are trooper involved in a traffic mishap. But on Wednesday at approximately 9:20 a.m., a motor vehicle collided with a UHP patrol car at the intersection of 100 North and 300 East in Price. Brenda Rawson of Castle Dale was reportedly traveling east bound on 100 North, when she apparently failed to notice a red light and ran into the cruiser driven by Trooper Harley Watkins, age 31 of Price. The operator of the UHP patrol car was uninjured in the collision. The driver of the second vehicle incurred minor injuries in the mishap. The Oct. 16 accident was investigated by the officers from the Price City Police Department, within whose jurisdiction the traffic accident occurred.
