Shooting problems continue for the CEU women as they lost this weekend 81-64 to Snow and then 88-62 to Salt Lake. They will end conference play in fifth place with two regular season games left on the slate.

In both games over the weekend, the Lady Eagles kept it close in the first half of play and then let their opponents run away with it in the second half. Each game they took more shots that their opponent, but could not seem to find the hole and get the points.

Against Snow they made 23 of 64 shots. Bruna Diechmann managed to score 18 points to lead CEU's offense. Samara Pereira put up 10.

In the Salt Lake match up it was 23 of 69 shooting. Deichmann scored 20 against the Bruins and Kaylee Robison put up 13 and pulled in four rebounds.

For Coach Dave Paur it was another frustrating weekend.

"They shot well and we didn't," he said referring to both games. "We out-shot them, out-rebounded them and out played them in many areas, but thats not what the game is about. Its about how many of your shots drop through the net that wins games and ours just aren't. Salt Lake played really well and it shows why they are ranked number three in the nation right now. I need to recruit some shooters this next season to get this team heading where we want it to be."

CEU heads up to take on Northern Idaho on Friday and Southern Idaho on Saturday. Nothing that happens this weekend will change the overall standings for the women.
