NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that bids are being accepted for the provision
of public defender legal services in court-appointed matters before
the Seventh Judicial Juvenile Court of Carbon County, Utah.  The
contract shall be for a term of two years.  The successful applicant
will be appointed by the Juvenile Court to provide legal services to
indigent parents of minors in cases involving abuse, neglect and
dependency of minor children.  Applicants must be in good standing
with the Utah State Bar.  Experience practicing in the Juvenile Court
will be considered.  The successful bidder will represent parents
whose rights may be affected in shelter hearings, drug court,
proceedings involving termination of parental rights and adoptions,
and custody and guardianship matters.  The successful bidder may be
required to attend family team meetings, mediations, trials and other
hearings in the Juvenile Court.  No bids over the amount of $4,000 per
month will be considered.  Bids must be inclusive of all office costs,
expenses, travel time, etc.  The contract shall commence April 1,
2010.  A curriculum vitae indicating qualifications for the contract,
together with the monthly amount proposed to be paid, must be mailed
in a sealed envelope, to the following:

	All bids must be received no later than the close of business March
2, 2010.  Please note on the outside of the envelope, "Sealed Bid for
Public Defender Contract."  Bids will be opened at the Carbon County
Commission meeting on March 3, 2010, at 4:30 p.m. in the County
Commission chambers at 120 East Main, Price, Utah.

	Carbon County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive
any informality of any bid, and to select the bid which in the opinion
of the County will most effectively provide the services listed above.
