Notice Of Election 2010 Regular General Election
I, Robert P. Pero, County Clerk-Auditor of Carbon County, State of
Utah, in accordance with Utah Code Section 20A-5-101 do hereby give
notice of offices for which candidates are to be elected and ballot
propositions qualified for the ballot as of this date at the upcoming
General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010.
U.S. Senate One Senator for a six (6) year term.
U.S. House of Representatives. One representative for a two (2) year
term in the Second Congressional District consisting of Carbon,
Daggett, Duchesne, Emery, Garfield, Grand, Iron, Kane, Piute, Salt
Lake (part), San Juan, Uintah, Utah (part), Wasatch, Washington, and
State Executive. Each position will be elected for a two (2) year
(2) Lieutenant Governor
House of Representatives. One (1) member from District Sixty-Seven
(67) Carbon County, to include Voting Districts Scofield No. 2, East
Helper No. 7, West Helper No. 21, Fairgrounds No. 27, Spring Glen No.
37, Carbonville No. 38, and Westwood No. 39, and
One (1) member from District Sixty-Nine (69) Carbon County, to
include Voting Districts Wellington South No. 15, Indian Hills No. 16,
East Price No. 17, South Price No. 18, Wellington North No. 19,
Sunnyside No. 20, East County No. 22, East Carbon North No. 25, East
Carbon South No. 26, Castle Heights North No. 30, Central Price No.
31, Northeast Price No. 32, North Price No. 33, Castle Heights No. 34,
South County No. 36, and Miller Creek Special No. 40, each for a two
(2) year term.
Board of Education
State Board of Education. One (1) member for a four (4) year term
from the following State Board of Education Districts: District
Fourteen (14) located in Carbon, Daggett, Duchesne, Emery, Garfield,
Grand, Kane, Piute, San Juan, Sanpete, Sevier, Uintah and Wayne
Local School Boards. One (1) member for a four (4) year term from
each of the following local school districts: District No. 4 and
District No. 5; District 4 to include Castle Heights, Castle Heights
North, North Price and Northeast Price. District 5 to include
Wellington North and south, East County, East Carbon North and South.
Court of Appeals. There will be an unopposed retention election for
one (1) Court of Appeals Judge for a term of six (6) years provided
that the incumbent whose term is expiring files during the filing
District Court. There will be a retention election for two (2)
Judges for a term of six (6) years in the Seventh Judicial District,
which consists of Carbon, Emery, Grand, and San Juan Counties provided
the incumbent(s) whose terms are expiring file during the filing
Justice Court Judge There shall be subject to an unopposed retention
election in Carbon County and Wellington City, one (1) justice court
judge for a term of six (6) years and also Helper City and East Carbon
one (1) justice court judge each for a term of six (6) years in which
the court to which the judge is appointed is located and provided that
the incumbent(s) whose term is expiring files during the filing
One (1) County Commissioner for a term of four (4) years.
One (1) County Commissioner/Surveyor for a term of four (4) years.
One (1) County Attorney for a term of four (4) years.
One (1) County Clerk/Auditor for a term of four (4) years.
One (1) County Treasurer for a term of four (4) years.
One (1) County Assessor for a term of four (4) years.
One (1) County Recorder for a term of four (4) years.
One (1) County Sheriff/Constable for a term of four (4) years.

The Declaration of Candidacy filing period for these offices shall
begin on Friday, March 12, 2010, and ends at 5:00 p.m., Friday, March
19, 2010 at the office of the Carbon County Clerk, Courthouse
Building, 120 East Main, Price Utah. All National, State and Local
offices are required to file at the office of the Lieutenant Governor,
State Capitol Building, Salt Lake City Utah, on the same dates or in
the County Clerk's office in their county of residence.
