Man arrested on suspicion of child porn
Helper Police arrested a man at his his home late Thursday night because he is suspected of dealing in child pornography.
Bill Lee, 29, a Helper resident, was taken into custody by the local authorities and booked into the Carbon County Jail.
The arrest took place on the same day that a number of police agencies along the Wasatch Front conducted an operation in which 14 men were arrested on similar charges.
"That was coincidental to our arrest," said Trent Anderson, Helper's police chief. "It just happened to coincide with those arrests."
Anderson said that the evidence that was collected at Lee's home has been sent off to experts to have them evaluate it to be sure any charges brought are appropriate.
"We need someone with expertise to verify our suspicions," stated Anderson.
