Readiness check part of Red Cross mission

Justin Nelson, fleet manager, and John Stone, mass care chairman, for the American Red Cross Mountain Valley Chapter, were recently in Carbon County inspecting and making sure the current disaster trailer inventory is up to date. These trailers, prepositioned in Price, and also in Manti, Monticello, and Cedar City, will be used in the event of an emergency situation that could arise in our area. Not only are they inspecting the contents of the water, food, cots, and other necessary emergency items, but are also inspecting the condition of the actual trailers such as tires, lights and other mechanical parts that would be necessary for safe travel to the places of emergency.
