Letters to the editor: Friendly snow removal
By Paula and Ashley Vigil Price

The week before last with all of the snowfall, our house was very near unapproachable. My daughter, who is disabled and in a wheelchair, had to be dropped off a half a block away from our home. Then as the bus tried to pull away, it got stuck.
I was nervous about calling the Carbon County Road Department because, I knew there was snow everywhere, and they had to be working day and night to try and keep up with it. I shouldn't have been.
A very friendly person answered the phone, and told me they would have someone out to help me as soon as possible. I thought that meant, I am being nice to get you off the phone, and nobody would show. I was wrong,
Within a half hour someone showed up.
I am extremely grateful that with weeks of snow, and the hours and hours of work to keep up with it, someone came to help me and my daughter. It is nice to know that even when a job gets stressful and overwhelming, that people can still be friendly and helpful. I would like them to know that the act of kindness was very much appreciated. As I was putting my daughter's wheelchair on the bus this morning in front of my house, I was thinking of the wonderful people who came to help me.
