Joe Juliano, reigning bowling champ
Joe Juliano from Helper recently bowled an 804 series at the Gateway Lanes in Helper. With his average of 268 for three games and 29 out of 36 strikes, this gave him the reining champ title. Juliano has been bowling on the Elmer Hamilton Men's league for more than 30 years and bypassed the reining champion Ed Howa who received top honors 27 years ago. This is the the second 800 series in the history of Gateway Lanes in Helper. Juliano has participated in national championships in Niagra Falls, Florida, Texas, Kansas, Reno, and Las Vegas as well as many others for more than 30 years. Championship bowling takes a lot of time and practice and with his expertise and commitment, he makes the game look easy. Juliano currently owns the No Tap pro shop at the Gateway Lanes, teaching bowling lessons and helping all with his knowledge of lanes, balls, speed variables, equipment and more.
