Joe Tryon, who has served two tours of duty in Iraq, stands with his daughter and women from the American Legion auxilary including Betty Leek, Anice Behunin, Marie Keele, Cleo Koris, and Veloy Wilder. The auxilary worked with Debbie Pappas of Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation to choose a service member to release the eagle in Horse Canyon. Over the years the auxilary has supported troops by sending them various articles, and Tryon was one of the service members who received socks from the group while he was in the theater of operations.
