The Southeastern Utah District Health Department (SEUDHD) has been working hard to provide H1N1 vaccine to CDC priority groups, with in the limited allotments of vaccine they've received. Now officials say there's enough vaccine to officially start giving vaccine to the general public.

That means H1N1 vaccine will be available during regular clinic hours at each of the offices within the four counties SEUDHD serves. SEUDHD also has limited amounts of seasonal flu vaccine available as well.

"If you have ever had the flu, you know it can knock you out - with members of your family, friends, and co-workers not far behind," said Terrie Wright, emergency response coordinator for SEUDHD. "So how can you protect yourself, especially this flu season with two influenzas circulating? Getting vaccinated is your best defense."

The H1N1 flu vaccines come in two forms for those who don't like needles. In addition to a poke people can also get it in a nasal spray.

Wright suggests that residents contact their local brank of the health department for immunization clinic hours. Clinic information may also be obtained at

In addition an all day H1N1 vaccine clinic will be held at the Carbon County Fairgrounds Event Centeron Saturday, Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
