A water main break east of Wellington caused a flood of H2O to flow along the side of Highway 6 and into yards of a number of houses on Friday morning. Price River Water Improvement District personnel were on the scene shutting off the water and digging up the broken line early, but not before some people were almost trapped in their homes by the ice and water. Apparently no basements were affected but at least one garage got a good deal of water in it. Some of the areas around the homes will have a constant cover of ice until the weather warms up enough to melt it and warm up the ground so it can run off or soak in.
