Pinnacle girls start season with win over AH lady Eagles

The 2009 USSA State Basketball Champions Pinnacle Lady Panthers played the American Heritage Lady Eagles on Nov. 13.

The Panthers won 42-6.

Several of the Panthers made strong contributions in the victory. Leading scorers were Haley Spigarelli with 12 points and Darrian Smith added six points.

Rebounding leaders were Spigarelli with 10 and Julianne Price with seven boards. Smith and Monique Hullings both had ten steals each.

On Nov. 20, the Pinnacle girls beat Paradigm Academy in West Jordan by a score of 36 - 11.

Spigarelli was the point leader with 14 points.

Ashia Andrews pulled in 15 boards and Hullings snagged six steals.

Coach Heidi Kay stated, "The girls started the season nervous and timid but with a couple of victories under their belts they are pulling together and playing as a team."
