Compliments to the editor and employees of the Sun Advocate, for the annual publication of the photos honoring our local veterans. Richard Shaw, the editor and publisher, has been very supportive of Veterans and their issues.

Also, I would like to let the staff and students of the Pinnacle Canyon Academy know how much we appreciate them for attending our special Veterans Day ceremonies at the Peace Garden, on Nov. 11.

I believe there were over 500 students present, all of us veterans were humbled by their support. The staff should be congratulated on the effort it took to get the students to the Peace Garden, and to the students for being so well behaved and attentive during our ceremony. Your students taught us a lesson, and it was "We were not forgotten."

After the ceremony was over, I noticed some of the students and staff members were thanking some veterans for their sacrifices and tears were forming in the veterans eyes, mine included.
