Girls from the Price LDS 4th Ward went door to door on behalf of the children at Primary Children's Medical Center. Pennies by the Inch is an 87 year old tradition. In the past, children would donate birthday pennies in a bank that resembled Primary Children's Hospital. In 1975, Birthday Pennies and Penny Parade then became Pennies by the inch, asking neighbors to "measure their heart" and help those in need of treatment.
