A rock slide last Wednesday afternoon closed Price Canyon until Utah Department of Transportation workers were able to clear it up that evening. The slide, which occurred only a short distance up the canyon from the power plant, caused traffic to be diverted over the Emma Park cutoff and through Willow Creek Canyon until around dark that evening. Why the slide occurred is still a mystery, although small rockfalls in the canyon are a common occurrence.
