The annual Run, Walk, and Roll for Independence was held on Sept. 26. Participants took to the streets from Active Re-Entry to the fairgrounds and surrounding area for a 5K, that included runners, walkers, children in strollers, adults in scooters, and even dogs on leashes to raise money for the event. All proceeds go to Active Re-Entry's assistive technology program that assists all people of all ages with disabilities with everyday life activities such as large handled silverware, grab bars, ramps, transfer equipment, scooters, and anything else to help someone in need be independent.
