Art workshops in Helper draw well

A painting workshop that was taught by Doug Braithwaite from Ogden was held in Helper recently. Braithwaite, right, brought in artists from Kansas, Salt Lake, Pasadena Calif., St. Louis Mo. and Cedar City to oil paint Helper's historic scenery. The workshop was brought in by two local artists, David Dornan and Mary Lou Kundmueller. Upcoming drawing workshop is scheduled for Oct. 9-12. Scholarships for one-half tuition for that workshop are available to Carbon County participants. For more information, go to helperworkshops.com
