Editor:

As summer winds down, it's time for a little reflection and doing so brings on much gratitude.

I had a great summer and much of it was due to all of those wonderful people who give their time and talents to make so many activities and events happen. If you complained that you were bored this summer, shame on you.

The farmer's market was fun, Culture Connection was entertaining and relaxing, the Price Library staff had great learning experiences for the kids, American Legion baseball is always a favorite with me and the county fair was better than most of the state fairs I have been to.

There are so many trails to hike and not enough time. There were community walks, the art festival, International Days and car shows. Anyway, you get the picture.

All of the business owners that donate so much time and money for our events need to be congratulated along with the hard workers out there that put on these events.

You all are just part of the reason I love living here.
