Business Market slated for September at county center
The Castle Valley Business Market will be held Thursday September 17 from 4 to 8 p.m. and September 18th from 10 to 8 p.m. in the Events Center at the Carbon County Fairgrounds.
The event will feature 65 booths from various businesses in the area including 10 'food' booths. All participants encouraged to demonstrate and or sell their products and services.
There will also be an area specializing in health services.
In addition, there will be 14 various dancing, singing, and gymnastic groups for the crowd's entertainment during the two days.
Penney's, Bealls, and Maurice's will sponsor a fashion show on Friday, Sept. 18th.
Business education sessions will be held at various times during the business market. On Thursday at 5 p.m. the Internal Revenue Service will present a session on business taxes.
Other sessions will include business marketing, hiring the right person in the first place, keeping and training employees, keeping profitable in a slow economy by cutting the right costs, the legal structure of business benefits and pitfalls to watch for.
The Business Market is an attempt to get businesses and the public to get to know each other far better in a congenial atmosphere. The workshops are designed to help businesses prosper in a changing economy.
